Bee in Baltic amber. Pollen grains of the visited flowers (not visible here) remained at the wing roots and on the antennae. This specimen was found in a heap of cheap inclusions!

The head of a common dolichopod fly showed a green glossy color in the net eyes until quite recently. (Now the beautiful color is no longer visible, as the preservation of inclusions in amber is very delicate!)

Aleuroide ("white fly") is a plant sucking insect, which is feared today (e.g. in greenhouses or in potted plants).

Rare: male strepsiptera, which are parasitic within other insects. Only about 20 of these are known from Baltic amber.
